Hailing from Ardrossan, on the Yorke Peninsula, Sam Jacobs was originally selected by Carlton in the 2006 rookie draft. The Woodville-West Torrens product scattered 17 games across five years for the Blues before he was traded to Adelaide. Since his Adelaide debut in 2011, Jacobs has received three All Australian nominations and has averaged 30+ hit-outs a game in seven of his eight seasons. The ever-reliable ruckman has missed just six games in his time at West Lakes. After marrying wife Izzy on New Year’s Eve in 2016, Sauce added fatherhood to his resume in 2018 with the birth of their daughter, Imogen Rose.
