Experience the thrill of flying around the Hudson Valley with this helicopter flight lesson from Westchester Airport in White Plains, NY. Start with ground instruction to learn about flying technique and safety, and then take to the air during an approximately 30- or 60-minute private lesson. You will be allowed access to the controls under the supervision of a certified flight instructor. While airborne, you will enjoy breathtaking views and try your hand at basic maneuvers.
In the Robinson R44 Raven II helicopter you have the option to invite up to 2 passengers to ride along with you (when option selected). Maximum weight 250 lbs per person and 500 lbs per helicopter. Flying lessons are not permitted in NYC airspace. No prior flying experience needed.

Travel and accommodation are not included, unless specified in the experience description.
This experience can be utilised for any other capital city in Australia, but all travel costs (flights, accommodation, meals, transport) are to be paid by the purchaser of this experience in addition to the experience fee.
An identification check may be required prior to or on the day of the experience. Please ensure you are able to provide valid photo identification.
Experience to be scheduled at a mutually agreed date based on the experience rights holders availability within 12-months from the date of purchase. Blackout dates may apply.
In the event of an unforeseen circumstance, the experience holder cannot fulfil the experience a full credit will be offered back to the purchaser.
Fan + expects all purchasers and their guests to conduct themselves appropriately when attending the experience. If the experience holder believes that you and/or your guests are not conducting yourselves appropriately, the experience holder is entitled to end the experience.

Flight lessons depart from Westchester County Airport in White Plains, a relaxed crowd-free location just outside NYC easily accessed by public transit (Metro-North rail from Grand Central Terminal) or car (free parking).
Convenient roundtrip transfers are available from anywhere in Manhattan for additional fee (if option selected).
Federal regulations do not permit flight lessons in New York City airspace therefore they stay over the Westchester area, Hudson Valley or Connecticut. Routes are subject to change based on weather, air traffic control and temporary flight restrictions.
Flight lessons begin with ground instruction then students do approximately 75% of the flying using dual controls, under flight instructor supervision.
Price based on Robinson R44 helicopter.
Maximum weight 250 lbs (113 kg) per passenger, also subject to combined weight limits per helicopter (500 lbs or 226 kg in Robinson R44 helicopter).
Flights should be booked for the first days of your New York visit, in case of schedule changes due to bad weather or helicopter maintenance.
Children 18 years and under must be accompanied by an adult or have parental consent.
Children under 2 years old fly at no cost if they can safely fit on parent's lap.
Recommended minimum age is 14 years.
Samsung Galaxy Note 7 phones are not allowed on helicopter flights.
