Karla Nicole Gilbert is a former Australian professional surf lifesaver. Throughout the 1990s and early 2000’s, Gilbert competed in Ironwoman (surf lifesaving) races, winning the Australian Championship three times (1993,1994,2003) and also won the Devondale Ironwoman Series, Meadowlea Ironwoman series and Kelloggs Ironwoman Series seven years in concession from 1995-2003. She was awarded a Medal of the Order of Australia in 2009 for services to surf lifesaving and the community, and is a member of the International, Australian, Queensland, Gold Coast Sporting Hall of Fame.
Later in her career, Gilbert pursued adventure racing, where she won the Australian Short Course Adventure Race title in 2006.
This led onto taking up the sport of Standup Paddle Boarding in 2008, soon after her first child was born and went on to win the Australian Championships in 2012-current.
Karla was inducted into the Sport Australia Hall of Fame in 2005 and went on to become a life member of the Surfers Paradise Surf Lifesaving Club later that year.
This session is perfectly suited to those already on a path to improved wellbeing but would like to touch base to help tweak your current situation. Sometimes we feel stuck in a rut or after prolonged periods of self neglect and it is helpful to receive feedback to bounce ideas off to help take you to the next level of your journey.

Travel and accommodation are not included, unless specified in the experience description.
This experience can be utilised for any other capital city in Australia, but all travel costs (flights, accommodation, meals, transport) are to be paid by the purchaser of this experience in addition to the experience fee.
An identification check may be required prior to or on the day of the experience. Please ensure you are able to provide valid photo identification.
Experience to be scheduled at a mutually agreed date based on the experience rights holders availability within 12-months from the date of purchase. Blackout dates may apply.
In the event of an unforeseen circumstance, the experience holder cannot fulfil the experience a full credit will be offered back to the purchaser.
Fan + expects all purchasers and their guests to conduct themselves appropriately when attending the experience. If the experience holder believes that you and/or your guests are not conducting yourselves appropriately, the experience holder is entitled to end the experience.
